We apologize that we have neglected posting or updating this blog/website for such a long time. We hope that you all are having a great summer and that all is well for you and for your families.
We have followed Gods leading that right now is not the right timing for our missions adventure to begin and are now looking to 2014 as a projected date for Ethiopia. We thank you all for your prayers, thoughts and well wishes as we continue our journey towards overseas missions.
Right now we are trying to make the most of our opportunity of staying in the States to get health, finish school and aggressively pay down our debt. Jes is finishing her Masters degree and working part time. I have had the joy of using 2 wheels for my commute (for the most part) by biking to work. This has given me the opportunity to decompress, enjoy the sunshine and exercise.
We want to share some information with you that directly affects our calling to Missions and to our vision for what God is calling us to do. We have been praying for an opportunity to visit the school that we will be working with but have not been able to find the right opportunity to make such a vision trip happen.
Amazingly.....well not according to God's plan......our church is giving us the opportunity to serve the people of Addis Ababa and visit the school. Out of the blue, a short term missions trip was planned for later this year and we are signed up to go. Jes and I will be serving with the Luis Palau at a Love Ethiopia Festival and will also have an opportunity to visit Bingham Academy, visit the campus and take pictures.
Attached below is a newsletter that describes what we will be doing. We would appreciate it if you would consider praying for us and the team we will be serving with as well as consider supporting us on this missions trip.
God Bless
