THE WORKERS ARE FEW!!!!
These 4 past months have been quite the experience and quite the blessing. We have been able to experience the culture, build relationships with parents, students and fellow staff members and their families. We have been able to work side by side on a successful Field Day, Joseph Musical, Senior Synthesis Presentations and there are many other opportunities still to come this year like the International Basketball Tournament, Graduation, Banquets and other fun events put on by Bingham.
Right now the need for teachers and staff here at Bingham is even greater than last year. We believe the Lord is calling us to commit to another 2 years of service. Would you seriously think about, pray about and discuss supporting our ministry. Right now we are 35% short for our monthly support. That is $1,500 each month for the next 2 years. Based on our current support numbers, the amount of support still needed is the equivalent to the cost of living here in Ethiopia. This amount is what we spend on groceries, transportation, ministry and time as a family each week. Attached to this post is a spreadsheet with our current expenses budget and a brief description of each category.
Would you be willing to support/sponsor our family each month in one of these areas? We ask for the opportunity to talk to you about any one of these categories. Can't afford the amount? Would you be our advocate and share our story, our ministry, our heart with your friends, your family, your church? Will you join with your co-workers, small group, your friends and pool your amounts to cover one of the support opportunity categories? Are you a current supporter or one of our annual supporter? Will you consider increasing your monthly/annual support?

The need for teacher, for missionaries is real here on the ground in Ethiopia. Daily we hear about boys and girls whose ears and hearts are being opened to this truths of Christ in their Bible classes. The message of the gospel is being infused in all classes taught a Bingham. We hear from so many missionary families who serve in the city of Addis and the surrounding areas that the effectiveness is directly connected with the fact that their kids are cared for and educated here at Bingham.
We serve a large variety of students, cultures and religious backgrounds. There are many Muslim students who are hearing the Gospel and are showing an interest into what Christianity is all about. They see the love, genuineness and life application of Jesus in the teachers and staff. We pray for our students in the morning during staff devotions and witness the love and commitment to these students lives, here on earth and for eternity.
This love and ministry poor out into the local community as well. Bingham supports programs called Horizon Boys and Yetesfa Birhan which focuses on supporting the neediest and at risk boys and girls in the community. The students have an opportunity to come to campus a number of times each month to play games, hear a Bible lesson where the Gospel is presented, have a snack and fellowship. I have been blessed to be able to work with the Horizon Boys over the past two months. Staff are also finding other opportunities to help pregnant women, new mothers, street boy and girls, sick men and women and orphans throughout Addis. We have the great opportunity to share Gods love and message of salvation not only to the student here at Bingham but to the city of Addis Ababa.
Thank you for your commitment to us over the past 4 years and we look forward to continuing to make, build and strengthen it over the next years of our ministry.
Grace and Peace,
Jose and Jessica Sturgeon
